Parshas Yisro

"When we saw that kid, I said 'I feel sorry for him', but in a second
Yankel was there helping him!!"

The whole world heard about the ten plagues in Egypt and the splitting
of the sea, yet the reactions varied. The Philistines became frightened, the
Moabites and Edomites were "distressed over the glory of Israel" (Shemos
15:14-15 with Rashi's commentary), Amalek attacked us (Shemos 17:8), but
Yisro became closer to G-d and the Jewish people (Shemos 18:1-9).

G-d sends us plenty of messages, but what do we hear?
