Parshas Tazria-Metzora

"Hey !! Why did the gym teacher compliment him on his 20 push-ups and
not me??"
"Because everyday he's done one more than the day before, and you've
done 20 every day for two weeks."

["Leprosy" mentioned in this week's Parsha is NOT the disease of
leprosy. There were some spots on a person's house, clothing, or self
that was a punishment for certain sins, and the "leper", was forced to stay
out of the dwelling areas, until it went away.]

If a person had questionable signs of leprosy, a Kohaine (Priest) would
re-check him a week later. If he still looked the same, the Kohaine would
come back a week later and re-check him (again). If the spots hadn't
lessened or gotten worse, the Kohaine would declare him a "definite leper",
whose laws were more severe than a "possible leper" If he still had
questionable signs why is he considered a "definite leper"? Rav Yerachmiel
Chussid, the famous Rebbe in the Mirrer Yeshiva, said, that if, after two
weeks, he still hadn't repented enough to be healed, he is a real "definite
leper" !!

Life is like an escalator :If you're not going up-you're going down !!

Have a great Shabbos !!
