Parshas Tzav
"I should offer him a prize if he does it? He should do it because I tell him to do it !" "Command Aharon and his sons, saying 'this is the law of the burnt offering...'" (Vayikra 6:2) The only sacrifice in the Mishkan (Tabernacle) that the phrase "command Aharon" is used was the burnt offering. Since the priests ate the other sacrifices that were brought, there was no need to "command" them. However, with the burnt offering whose meat was entirely burnt, they needed more "encouragement" to officiate. When dealing with others or ourselves, we must understand when to use a bigger push. Have a great Shabbos !! Rabbi Chaim Flom |
