There is a principle that how Loshon Hora works is that for whatever sins we do, we are not punished unless / until we make the mistake of speaking Loshon Hora, at which point we are punished for our store of sins. Thus if we never speak Loshon Hora, we are never punished for our sins.

Here in our parsha I came upon an explanation of Rashi which seems to describe a similar concept.

Rashi is commenting on the part of the passuk which reads, in translation YOU HAVE SEEN. Rashi ends his comment explaining that Hashem is saying: but I only exacted punishment from them through you.

Artscroll clarifies this Rashi with a quote from Mechilta:

The Egyptians were guilty of idolatry, immorality, and murder, yet they were punished for those sins only as a result of what they did to Israel. This is a sign of G-d's love for Israel.

Statement Here is my comment connecting these two items...

Perhaps just as Loshon Hora is what we do which enables our getting punished for our sins, Antisemitism is what the nations do which enables their getting punished for their sins.

Or, doing bad things to Jews is for gentiles what speaking Loshon Hora is for Jews...
