" If you never used him and don't know anyone who did, how can you
recommend him?? Just because he has a nice ad in the paper!!"

"And G-d appeared to him (Avraham) in the plains of Mamre." (Biraishis
18:1) Rashi comments that since Mamre gave Avraham advice about the bris,
circumcision, he merited that G-d appeared to Abraham in his (Mamre's) land.
Rav Yerucham Levovitz, the great pre-WWII Mirrer mashgiach, said the Torah
is emphasizing the importance of giving good advice.

Whether it's about a doctor, a business, or traffic instructions, if
you don't know, don't give advice. If you can help, please do.
