but I realize I can't talk to anyone and therefore I feel rather alienated from "membership", if you know what I mean. I wanted to answer the first post on the Torah discussion with the following and was not allowed:

if this is how it will be, then maybe this is not the community I was looking for after all. Just in case, here is what I wanted to say in response to the question about the man walking in the way........

I am new here and hate to jump right in, especially in the light of the fact that I am not Jewish, but I am moved to comment.

Since my own visitation (paqad) from Hashem Yom Kippur of 1992, I have never been the same, but I see things in Torah and Tanakh, the whole Bible actually that I could NEVER have seen prior to this time.

the words that jumps out at me of course are "way" "field" and "tree".

in the way we are looking at the the tree of knowledge and the field is not HOME yet, so these are not fine, but the field must be ploughed, and the tree must give way to the etz chaim (tree of life).

I am looking at verses that include "the way" and we start with the first one,

Gen 3:24 So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep "the way" of the tree of life.

derek, our path to the tree of life, comes from darak, which is a treading forward, marching, not staying to admire before we are finished.

thats what I see

if these kinds of interchanges are not kosher, lol, I thank you for the admittance, but what will I do here?

Welcome to the Global Yeshiva.

I am assuming that because you are not Jewish you do not have access to those parts of this web site that are for Jews (a "Yeshiva" is a place of learning for Jews).

However, there is the Righteous Gentile section which you may find satisfactory for your purposes. Have a browse through previous messages and see what has been discussed.

Dear Yvonne,
You are clearly an excellent thinker, and will bring many wonderful thoughts for us all to ponder if you choose to remain on this web site. I am one who thinks the prohibition is - I'll use the word - stupid - but I want you to rest assured that, even if you post under the "Gentiles only" section (or whatever it's called), your posts WILL be read and responded to by those from the other section. I suggest heading them similarly to how they are headed in the other section.
I do hope you will stay! -Paulette (with similar feelings from many others, I'm sure!)
