This web site used to ask new members more in-depth questions about themselves, which would then be part of their public profiles. No one was asked to reveal private things, but there was enough about each person so that everyone could get to know each other better.
Now new members are asked factual things such as their gender, age, and rabbinical status. These are fine, but not as fine as getting to know a little of the person's personality. I hope you will re-instate the broader profiles. |

Paulette, thank you for bringing this up!
The questionnaire upon joining is the same as it always is, however not some fields are optional and it seems that members aren't filling out the optional fields. I agree that it is much nicer to add a little bit about yourself in your profile, so other members can 'get to know' you. As Paulette said, it doesn't have to be anything private. You can edit your profile at any time, go to My Space (fourth from the left in the top blue navigation bar) >> View/edit complete profile. Comments, questions or suggestions for the Global Yeshiva? Please send me a private message. |
