Klal Yisrael lost a great leader in R' Avraham Blumenkrantz z"l of Far Rockaway yesterday afternoon. R' Blumenkrantz was a student of the great R' Moshe Feinstein and quoted of him extensively. Perhaps best known for his yearly Passover guide which is on the bookshelves of many Jewish homes, R' Blumenkrantz served Klal Yisrael as a leader and posek, or decision-maker. He was a strong endorser of the kiruv movement.

The levaya, or funeral was in his shul this morning. Kevura, or burial will be in Eretz Yisrael on Sunday.

May his memory be a source of blessing on all of us and may we only share simchas.
