What is the History of the Jelly Donut in Jewish Tradition?

I don't think the filling is of any significance; it's the donut itself, as it is cooked in oil. Latkes are also eaten as they are cooked in oil.

Scrambled eggs can also be used on Chanukah too, as it can be cooked in olive oil.
I was in the store the other day buying donuts and the grocer said that they are good, and I said, yea, till after Chanukah. It's like eating Hamantashen after Purim |

Very interesting, as I don't agree with what they found to be #1 as such. From what I'm used to as being the #1 popular flavor, growing up with, is #7 in the chart quoted in the link above.
I wonder about the poll and if it was a true sample etc. |

Sam - its simple - it must have been written ON Purim, when the writer didn't know the difference between #1 and #7

I think another pole should be taken - one that is long enough....
And rob, what is your #1 flavored hamantash? |
