I was a little amazed when I saw young people drinking at the Lubav Purim party. What is the drinking age according to Torah? Bar Mitzvah?
The Rav can get into trouble if the teenagers get into some mischief with the law. Should the Rav abide by the law of the land concerning serving liquor? |

Law of Land permits parents to serve their children any alcohol they want, and perhaps are responsible for what they do, and answerable for any damage Big Brother thinks they might be doing to their children.
Law of Land also recognizes Loco Parentis (no, not crazy parents, but the shoe might fit) that parents who entrust children to their rabbi with permission to partake, not necessarily a problem under the law, IMHO (in my hungover opinion). |

And what about SMOKING? Isn't that at least equal to drinking, if not worse!
