Did anyone here watch that Exodus Decoded documentary the other night and what did you think of their suppositions?
I will admit its tempting to believe that a Volcano caused the dominio effect that we call Makot, starting with water pollution, leading to dead fish and run away frogs.
Of course one must wonder how Moshe Rabbeinu managed to time all these catastrophes to start just as he or Aron used their mateh or other to begin the Maka. How does one answer to someone who argues that the Santorini volcano eruption is what caused the enviormental and physical consequences of the Makot? That Santorini did explode is fact, a volcanic eruption causing waters to turn red has been documented before in more modern time.
How do you respond logically and intelligently to those who insist that its no coincidence that the Thera/Santorini explosion occured simutaneous and influenced the doings in Egypt with the Makot Mitzraim.
