Because not everyone who doesn't read Hebrew is a dolt! Roots and relationships among words are important to many people who wish to understand their prayers or just what they are reading.
I suspect that you know the difference between "QOL mevaser" and "KOL haneshama," but the people who use a transliteration may not. And the fact that this does not faze you should be disturbing to people here.
