Channukah always makes me think of Purim, so a question came to me that I would like to ask, but its about Esther ha malka.

Her son (Daryavesh? - Darius?) why wasnt he considered Jewish if it ALWAYS goes according to the mother?

My dear friend,
What makes you so sure that he wasn't Jewish?

Sincerely,
David

Of course, he considered himself Jewish. Who do you think financed the construction for the second Beit Ha Mikdash?

Nechama,
I could be wrong, but I thought he financed the completion of the second Mikdash (Ezra 6:1-12)

Logically, Dovid, you should be correct, but the Gemarah in Rosh Hashana 4a considers him a Goy. I found that the Yosef Daas (from D.A.F. http://www.dafyomi.co.il) answers with difficulty that since he acted like a Goy, so we gave him the status of a Goy for the Inyanim that are mentioned there.

Oy! The legalism that kills the Mishpachah!!!
Cut it out! He was jewish, do you think it was safe to record his bris?! Or his first Alliyah?!! Don't you think he might have been assassinated for sure had the word got out? My heart tells me he was a jew. And at this late date, no one would be able to assassinate him. Of course we recorded him as goy. To protect him, because otherwise he couldn't've protected us or let us go back to Eretz Y'israel!

Cool

i can respect the fact the your "heart" tells you that he was a jew, but there is no proof for that.

The actual Tanach doesn't say that he's a Goy or not, it's only after painstaking proofs from which month they count his monarchy from. There is no way that any Goy casually reading it would figure it out. It's only the Talmud, which was written way after the Persians were out of power explain it. (If it was true as you're saying, the Talmud would have mentioned it.) If you would use your brain along with your heart, it would lead you to less mistakes.
