I would answer it, but I have no proof that anyone asked a question

The short answer is, "We don't". The long answer is, does time exist? What is time? How can we answer that question if we don't even know that we exist? Are we just thoughts in G-d's head? Or are we flesh and blood human beings? When you see someone, do you see a person, or do you see an interference of electromagnetic waves that pass through the lens of your eye and stimulate your brain into thinking that you just saw a person?

The famous question about the chicken and egg is pointless, but only because nobody has satisfactorily defined the meaning of the term "first".
