Dont we learn it is better to sin in public than to sin in privite, because when you sin in privite you are more afraid of what ppl would think than hashem.
Than how come the genaration of the flood sinned publicly and were wiped out? |

its much worse to cause others to sin than to just sin yourself. so by everyone sinning publicly everyone else says everybody doing wrong and followed in eachothers footsteps and did worse and worse |

Besides that, you need to worry about Chilul Hashem. As it says in Kiddushin 40a (among other places) and is paraphrased by Kollel Iyun Hadaf. (b) (R. Eliezer ha'Zaken): If a person feels his evil inclination overpowering him, he should go to a place where people don't recognize him, cover himself in black, and do as his heart desires - this way, he will not profane Hash-m's name. ____________ http://limudtorah.jewishweb.org Please help the Global Yeshiva to continue spreading high quality Torah by sponsoring a Shiur in the "Understanding Mishna Brurah" forum.
