I may have this history wrong, but the first temple was the temple of Solomon, and it was unearthed, the remnants anyway, I think. And, this is different than the Temple Mount, which was built after the first one was sacked, I think. Seeing the Temple of Solomon was the first, wouldn't it be grand to restore it in such a way that what remains is true to history, even rebuild the whole thing like the origional if the anthropologists can figure it out?
