A person who communicates and imparts of his wisdom to the people of his generation attains four great levels of reward
1.a goodly recompense in the World to Come
2.praise and glowing esteem in this world
3.the radiance of his Torah learning becomes apparent through his disciples
4.and the expression of his wisdom and understanding wells forth and grows strong with him. R'Avraham b. Chiya, Higyon Nefesh

EekEven if a man has learned and taught [the Torah], kept and performed [its precepts], but he had the opportunity to strengthen [its observance by others] and did not do so, he is included in the scope of the Torah's malediction: Cursed be he who does not uphold the words of this Torah (Devarim 27:26). :Talmud Yerushalmi, Sotah

If not now, when? Hillel
