It is known that the commentary to some Mesichtas in Shas are ion fact not form Rashi but from another one of the Rishonim. The obvious example would be part of Bava Basra were its stated that the commentary is from the Rashbam.

What other Mesichtas would fall under this catogery, and where could i find a disscussion of this issue.

Any help is appreciated.

Thank You.

בעלי התוספות אורבך

p47-48

Actually the sentence that Rashi wrote to a certain point does not appear in all printed editions. Just that Rashi died and that after his death, the Rashbam wrote his perush. The Rashbam did write a full perush on Baba Batra. Maybe the perush on Taanit and part of avodah zarah.

Exactly what tosephot wrote what and why different tosephot appear in tosephot shelanu, does appear to have any particular reason. The printed tosephot, become tosephot shelanu (our tosphot) but there is no reason to prefer the printers selection over the real collections of tosephot Shanz or Perez or the tosephot from other schools. The Shita Mikubezet tried to correct some of this. When he writes tosephot yeshanot, he means the same tosophot that appear in the Vilna Shas. The printers shortened the tosephot greatly, leaving out all of the discussion, just leaving the question and the last answer which is why the printed tosephot can be very confusing.

Obviously the Rashi we have has undergone a lot of emendation. I even recall see a russian word somewhere.

If this sort of thing really interests you, you should purchase The tosaphists: Their history, writings and methods by E.E. Urbach. I bought mine at our local jewish book store so it shouldn't be too hard to find.
I don't see anything about Rashi on Eruvim but I did see a discussion on Macot where again it says Rashi died at this point and the rest of the commentary is from the RIVIN. However this does not mean he wrote it but it was probably culled from his perush on the Talmud.
